Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These terms set out the rules for using the Animal Farm app and website (the “Service”) provided by Seoulcomix Inc. (“we”), and the rights and obligations of us and our members.

2. Accounts

• You must have reached the minimum age for your country or region to use the Service — see the table at the end of these terms (13 where a country or region is not listed). At sign-up you give your birth year and month, and we check your age from it.
• When you sign up, a login key is stored on your device. If you link an Apple or Google account, you can sign in to the same account on another device.
• You may not transfer, sell or lend your account, or create multiple accounts for harassment or spam.

3. The Service

• Your animal stands near you on the map, and you can see other members’ animals within 2 km. Other members see a position shifted 150–350 m away from you (500–1,000 m for members under 18), never your exact location. Members under 18 and members 18 or older do not see each other on the map.
• Tap the screen to bark or meow. You can bark up to 3 times in a row, then rest for 5 seconds.
• If you and a nearby member bark within 0.5 seconds of each other, a private 1:1 chat opens. Chats always connect a man and a woman of the same age group: members under 18 only meet members under 18, and members 18 or older only meet members 18 or older.
• The Service is free. If we introduce paid memberships, we will announce them as described in section 10.

4. What you must not do

• Post or do anything obscene, violent, hateful, discriminatory, harassing, stalking or threatening.
• Any sexual content involving minors (we delete the account immediately and report it to the authorities).
• Spam, advertising, requests for money or gifts, scams or offers of illegal trade.
• Impersonate others, or fake your location to deceive other members.
• Use bots or automation to bark or chat, or interfere with or hack the Service.
• Collect or share other members’ personal information without consent, or break the law in any other way.

5. Reporting, blocking and enforcement

• We have zero tolerance for objectionable or illegal content and abusive members. You can report or block anyone at any time from the chat. Blocked members disappear from each other’s map, barks, matches and chats.
• We review reports within 24 hours and may remove content, restrict use or delete accounts that break these terms. In urgent or illegal cases we may act without notice.

6. Meeting people safely

• Chatting with or meeting other members, and any deals between members, are your own decision and responsibility. Never share your exact address or financial details with, or send money to, people you don’t know.
• We do not take part in disputes between members, but we cooperate as required by law to help victims.

7. Your content

You own the messages you write. We use them only as needed to run the Service — to deliver and store them and to review reports.

8. Changes to the Service

We may change or pause the Service for maintenance, failures or technical reasons, and will tell you in advance where possible. If we have to shut the Service down, we will give 30 days’ notice.

9. Leaving

You can leave at any time with “Me → Delete account”. We then delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Paid features

If we offer paid memberships (for example unlimited daily barks, 5 barks in a row or 5 km reach), prices, payment and refund terms will be shown on the purchase screen and in these terms. Payments and refunds follow App Store and Google Play rules.

11. Limitation of liability

• We are not responsible for losses caused by things outside our control, such as natural disasters, network outages, or problems with your device or location settings.
• For the free Service, we are not liable unless we acted intentionally or with gross negligence. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

12. Changes to these terms

We will announce changes in the app or on this page at least 7 days before they take effect (30 days if they are unfavorable to you). If you do not agree, you may leave the Service.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes will be handled by the competent court under the Korean Civil Procedure Act. Mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence still apply.

14. Language

These terms are provided in several languages. If a translation differs from this English version, the English version prevails, except that for users in Korea the Korean version prevails.
